The YEP group is a personal development drop-in program for youths aged 17 to 24 years old, which provides cultural activities, life skills information and referrals to community resources and programs to overcome social barriers by fostering connections and encouraging independence and leadership skills through cultural practices, self-awareness and involvement of healthy choices. This creates a positive identity and lifestyle as an alternative to homelessness and street involvement.
The YEP group meets each Wednesday evening in the Youth Centre from 5PM to 7:30 PM, at Kla How Eya Aboriginal Center. YEP participants receive a hot meal each program day and incentives.
